“Salvation for a race, nation, or class must come from within. Freedom is never granted; it is won. Justice is never given; it is exacted. Freedom and justice must be struggled for by the oppressed of all lands and races, and the struggle must be continuous.”

–A. Philip Randolph

Our Plans for the Future

MCI will continue to expand its feeding program to other needy schools in Maasailand. We also seek to install computer labs at every school where a feeding program exists. MCI will endeavor to broaden the program at the Women’s Health and Resource Center to include women’s health and family planning services. Discussions are currently underway to construct a girls secondary school near our headquarters at the Maasai Women Resource Center. The objective is to provide an academically rigorous education for Maasai girls in a boarding school environment at the period in their lives when they are at greatest risk of early marriage. While still in its planning stages, fundraising is expected to begin in late 2010.
